BLOG THATCamp Amsterdam: happy afterthoughts
The Humanities and Technology Camp (THATCamp) is an unconference: a flat structured and participatory prelude to the real deal, where humanists and technologists of all skill levels get together in interactive sessions proposed on the spot.
As can be read in the blog of the organizers, THATCamp Amsterdam lived up to its name. The day’s discussions were lively, inclusive and versatile: touching upon many different subjects and allowing a diverse group of experts to meet, talk and play around with different practices, techniques, approaches and perspectives. For an overview of THATCamp Amsterdam session proposals, please visit the website here.
The initiative for THATCamp Amsterdam was taken by the digital humanities group Creative Amsterdam an E-Humanities Perspective research team (CREATE) at the Amsterdam Centre for Cultural Heritage and Identity (ACHI). It was organized as a pre-conference to Creativity and the City Conference at the University of Amsterdam.
